Alternative jet fuel

Vincent Toepoel has extensive knowledge about the developments in alternative aviation fuel and required steps to implement technologies to produce alternative jet fuel especially on renewable jet fuel. Vincent has participated in technology roadmap development with CAAFI, IATA Technology Roadmap and setup together with aviation specialists projects to support alternative jet fuel development.
During the involvement with IATA Vincent was the leading author of the IATA 2007 & 2008 Report on Alternative Fuels and performed the quality check on the IATA 2009 Report on Alternative Fuels.
Vincent has coordinated the research project on renewable jet fuel of Qatar Airways and Qatar Science & Technology Park on (not to be disclosed) technologies to produce renewable jet fuel.

European research funding project development

Vincent has established 2 research-funding proposals with research consortia for the European Union 7th Framework Programme.

Biomass fired Combined Heat and Power plant

Vincent has performed heat flow modelling, engineering and implementation of power plant heat flow control systems and operated the power plant. In the operation Vincent performed optimisation, control and issue management work. The CHP plant was fired on straight vegetable oil and supplied heat to a district heating system.
